At this point, it was a ritual every summer.
Last day, everyone excited, more than teachers scolding, teachers are giving holiday homework,
and then the bell rings.
Everyone stands up for the prayer and finally the national anthem.
Everyone's bodies are still with pride for the nation,
But their minds are racing with thoughts and excitement.
Now that the 52 seconds of the anthem are over (which probably felt unusually long), the Jai Hind is so loud and powerful even Modiji heard it and wondered if they were soldiers.
But in between all this chaos, I can just stand back and just observe - for my 10th grade has been completed (our school only has LKG to Class 10)...
I've been at this school only for 3 years - but it just feels so unnatural to know that I may never meet half of them again...
But again... As it's told again and again, nothing in life is permanent.
Maybe they're right, but I feel they're wrong - for memories are indeed permanent in life.
And now... From deciding which games to play in summer vacation, we're now forced to decide which college and which stream we have to pick...
From seeing passed-out seniors meet teacher in civil dresses, we became those passed-out seniors...
From making enemies to asking them to be in contact...
How far we've come...
