Last Class
Written on 22nd January 2026

"Shut up!" she softly shouted, with a calm so eerie. It was her last class teaching this batch, yet I made no effort to listen, now only regret I have left.

Her voice, now so quiet, teaching the class what to learn.

After these two periods, I can do nothing but yearn.

For we'll never hear her voice again, explaining.

Her scolding, so silent now.

The entire year we took her for granted.

Didn't lend an ear, a regret I'll carry forever.

Now the bell rings, and she steps out.

The queens and kings, we knew about,

And queens and kings, we thought we were,

Disappear with her, along with the memories,

We accumulated all these years,

And I get reduced to silent tears,

Thinking about all those memories...
